460casting numbers

Can someone tell me anything about this block

Dive 6015 a2b

Where can I tell the guy to look for head castings?

I'm pretty sure d1ve is 79 ish and earlier block. The heads casting number is in between the middle two spark plug holes.

head casting number is dead center on the head right between the valve cover gasket surface and the exhaust ports. the really good heads are C8VE, C9VE, D0VE

What makes these heads more preferable to others?

they are the early heads since the 429-460 came out in 1968 I believe so they were before all the emissions crap and they have bigger size exhaust ad intake ports so they flow better
