Does anyone have any comments on quality of what appear to be "import" replacement panels available in catalogs and online? I am gathering parts for our 59 Ford F-100 custom cab will need cab corners and drivers side floor panels.. Any info on alternative part sites appreciated as well....
I'm not familiar with the panels for a '59. That being said, I just put a cab corner and both front fenders on my '85. the cab corner wasn't so bad, as I just needed part of it. The fenders on the other hand, the lines just don't match up like the oem ones do. I guess it would depend on whether you want a show truck or not, and how much money you are willing to spend. I spent $99 each on the fenders, oem ones were three times that I believe. My truck is not and never will be a show truck. I have some pictures here; https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...build-log.html
Good luck and welcome to the forum. I'm sure someone that knows more about a '59 than I do will chime in soon. Oh yeah, and post plenty of pictures, we love pictures here.
Your work looks good to me i neither have the $$$ or expertise to restore her to "show truck" quality just want a weekend driver.. panels are available from LMC etc.. small cab corner pieces and floor pans small writing states they come from over seas... thanks jwj

I got my cab corner from LMC, and had it professionally installed. My fenders came from a local aftermarket automotive supply house, same price as LMC, minus the shipping costs. Oh, and thanks for the vote of confidence, this is my first attempt at body work. I am going to work on my welding skills (or lack thereof) with the floor-pans.
Im in W. wa and a local yard JUST got a 60 in...from what I saw it looked pretty good...definately not the usual rusted out truck...has good hood and rot free R fender and so on...
If you wanna know more, email or PM me...its a self serve place..
