Paint Color

I have a 1950 F1 Ford. I am wanting to paint the engine back to the original color but I cannot find anyone who knows the color. Can anyone help me?

I think this is the original paint on my 49 flat head.

I vote for dark red. That's what I found on the engine and flywheel housing of my '50 F-1.
