Ok I finally got the extra money and have ordered Clay's injector cup kit with rental tool. Also bought Glow plugs to change while I am there and the Riff Raff air filter kit for my personal Christmas Present to myself. I am sooo ready to get this problem fixed I have hardley drove my truck for 2 months. You guys please wish me luck and give me any pointers that you have. I remember seeing a step by step guide to this repair on here a while back. I am going to keep looking for it but if anyone has a link please share it. I will try to take pics and give the best info I can for the next guy that may have to takle this repair.
It has not went at all yet... I am still waiting for the parts and tool to be delivered. I contacted Clay and he said that it was about a week wait because the tool was still out, but he said they were making more tools so the wait will not be as long for future users. I am sure that the holidays are slowing things down to. The tracking information is showing it to deliver next Tuesday 1-3-2012. So I will not be able to do it until the next weekend. I really am ready to get my truck straightened out. I did not think it would take this long to get the stuff but I guess good things come to those who wait... or at least I hope so.
2002 F250 7.3L injector cup replacement--Riffraff still the place to go?
Hi All--
i'm new here, but at first look, it seems a great community.
although i'm no "real" diesel mechanic, your posts have encouraged
me that I and my real mechanic buddy can replace the
injector cups ourselves successfully.
i noticed great reviews for Clay at Riffraff Diesel for this project.
is Riffraff still the place to go for these parts & tools?
