air bag dummy light

light flashing then stays on constant. The bulb illuminating "off" is also not working. Could this light be on because the bulb burned out?

Count the flashes to read the two digit flash code. If it's 27, then the fault is due to the bad bulb on the PAD switch.

It is 27. How do I get at the bulb to replace?

I had the bulb burn out a couple of years ago and went to radio shack and bought a new LED with a resistor. Pulled the old one from the circuit pad and soldered in the new one. It has been fine since. You have to pull the radio etc. to get the circuit out. There should be a thread on this here somewhere. I don't remember all the directions or the size of LED needed. Hopefully someone else will chime in.
