I personal tried the clicking test and got nothing. My seems to be related to my trailer harness. They start working for a while just after I have a trailer hooked up multiple times. I'm going to slide under when it gets nicer and clean all the wiring harness up. I have a bluetooth obd2 adapter and don't have any codes is their a specific test or software ?

mine would work momentarily, with a trailer hooked up too. One very quick beep. Do not work at all without a trailer hooked up. Did you find a solution? Are they now working?
Anything that's "wrong" in the system can cause it to go to OFF. For example, if the speaker is bad, or if there's a chafed wire anywhere, the system will go to OFF.
My last truck's system worked flawlessly. I ended up wiring a switch inline with the speaker wire so I could force it to stay OFF. It would become a real PITA while plowing or towing.
My current truck's back-up sensor will work every once in a while. I'm in no hurry to find the issue and fix it.
I already replaced the speaker. Speaker has 12V too it, when in reverse...which I would think means the module is working. All 4 sensors click, so they appear to be working too. Don't know what else to do.

The stealerships can plug in (OBD) and monitor the sensors, see what each one is doing. I'm sure anyone with a high-end scanner can do the same. That might be you're next approach. Maybe you've got a sensor that clicks, but doesn't sense????
