I haven't either, but if someone were to use a sealant, I wouldn't think that anti-seize would be the way to go... I think it would just cause the gasket to get soggy... or way too slick to work with.
Getting back on point, usually a power valve will blow if you backfire out of the carb. Are you sure the timing is set correctly? I had a problem with my truck being too advanced and the exhaust valve would be opening when it was firing and *whoosh* fire out the carb. Set the back of my engine on fire once. So, yeah, had to replace the power valve after that. Just my .02
Why would one want to coat a paper gasket with anti-seize?
Because through personal experience, I have tried these gaskets with and without anti seize and have had a much better result in regards to gasket life.
Sorry guys Ive been pretty busy the last few days but I did get the gasket. It is a metal laminate one by felpro found at auto zone for about 6 bucks. The truck seems good go but I might lower the floats a tad more. Thanks to Ardwerkintruck for all the "leg work" and by the way It did blow out the "ear". Im going to drive the truck this weekend I will keep you posted.
