The injector is working when the engine is hot. It even sounds better when that cyl starts hitting. My question is, is it ok to drive it this way till I can fix it? Need the truck next weekend for camping and don't have a lot of time to fix it now.
Thanks, Bill
Are you saying you have an injector down and after the truck warms up, it starts working? I would think that cylinder is not getting lubricated until it starts firing.

The oil that comes out of the injector flows into the rocker area then down to the cam into the pan it does not go in the combustion chamber.
Plug the truck in and switch to synthetic oil. That should make the bad injector start spitting oil sooner. Let it warm up before you drive it around with a dead injector so that all of them are firing and I'd guess you'll be fine.
Have an injector coming from Clay, be here next week. I hope no harm has come to the engine from it. I just wonder how many are on the road with this kind of thing and some owners don't have a clue.
My wife and I where talking about this forum the other day and we both agreed how well FTE has helped me out. A big thank you to everyone.
