Hi Jim,
On my 350 Chassis Cab, any throttle input is a big delay in response, 2 to 3 seconds and then it's like flipping a switch, full boost, no gradual buildup of boost. Taking off from a light, loaded trucks get moving quicker than I do. This is not mashing the throttle either, but light throttle. Slow down to make a turn, and then back on the throttle, same thing. It's aggrevating to say the least. The only time the throttle delay is gone is when the truck is doing an exhaust regen. Then it runs like it should. Ford says it's normal. I've got an Oasis report from Ford saying this. I'll scan it and post it in the next day or so, so that everyone can see it. As for your truck, if it was doing it, you'd know it. Just drive it someplace remote, where you can take off like you need to get out in heavy traffic from a stop to test it.

Hi Rich,

It's good to hear from you. Sorry I missed you when we were at Travis. My daughter kept me busy doing things for her all the time. We left for home the first week in September. The truck did just wonderful pulling the 5er. As far as the turbo lag issue goes: This truck takes off from a stop empty or loaded just fine, at least to me.
.
I have 9937 miles now, and just changed the oil for the third time yesterday. While I was under the truck I drained the fuel out of my fuel filters/water separators. I have two: one on my auxillary tank and of course the stock drain. I labeled the jars and let the fuel sit all night, absolutely nothing in either glass container.

My truck hasn't been at a dealer since the day I picked it up. No CEL's or any other issues, sure hope it stays that way. I'm very happy with the 4.10 LS. I get good fuel mileage and it sure pulls the 5th wheel easily. I bet since your C/C is used for business the demands placed on it are different than mine. I know my truck was a job 2 truck, would that have anything to do with the turbo issue. Maybe the programming is different on a job 1 and 2, has to be some reason why yours has the lag and mine doesn't.

Well I hope you have a great fall. I really wasn't ready to leave, and our daughter sure didn't want to lose her handman/free babysiters. But it was nice to get back to my shop. I've got two dollhouses to build for my little granddaughters this winter. So I'll be busy.

Great to hear from you, don't work too hard and let me know what you're up to....

Jim

Bouncing through pastures with 1500-3500lbs on the bed can take a toll on the springs. My dealer expressed concern with stall in soft ground, mud, ditches, etc. He has sold a couple C&C pickups to guys that farm in sand, and they aren't happy with them. They say that from a dead stop they can't get them to even slip a tire when they are in loose sand. I also don't personally know the guys or what they expect out of a pickup......I know i baby my equipment way more than the majority of people I am around.

I have a cm ss model go to my profile and click ablums and u can see it thats 11 round bales thats weights bout 1500 a bale of hay dont even touch over loads but ive had 4,000 on bed and still no touch on over loads. But i use it on the farm haul hay cows anything but if ur goin to be putting that much weight on the bed u def need a cab and chassis truck but ill say the ride in them with nothing on the bed is like a horse and buggy a F450 cab and chassis rides better i think and turns alot deeper and got the nice 19.5 on em but i would not have a dually bed cause the round bales of hay we got you cant haul em on a pickup or it will bow out the sides of the bed cause our bales are 5x6 but if theres anything else just ask man
