4 spd automatic transmission

hey everybody...

i was just wondering if anybody could tell me what the optional 4 spd transmisson that was for the 7.3 powerstroke diesel is called. have one for sale dont know much about it.

the transmission i have came out of a 2001 f250 with the 7.3l power stroke diesel

it is the 4r100

The only transmission that came in that truck (that I am aware of) is the 4R100.

One more question about the 4R100

i was wondering how to tell if the trans is for a 4x4 or a 4x2. from what i thought a 2wd trans would go to a tail with a yoke at the end. I was told that my 4R100 was a 2wd trans but it does not go to a point with a yoke it has a piece bolted to the end that has another mating surface to bolt to something else. like maybe a transfer case or something but idk.

I know i am very bad at explaining this but if you can get anything out of this help would be great thanks.
