Powerstroke

Hi,
I'm looking at buying an early to mid 90's F250. I assumed the "powerstroke" diesel was the only diesel offered during these years. Is that the case and if not is it better/worse than the other diesel engines offered?
Thanks,
John

The 7.3L powerstroke was offered from 94.5 & up. It's completely electronic and is known for going 500k.

There was also a 7.3 turbo diesel which is not a powerstroke.

Then there's a non-turbo 7.3 diesel which is also not a powerstroke.

There's also a 6.9 diesel, but those were earlier.

I'm not really familiar with all the details of the three 7.3L motors. I would check out the diesel forums here on FTE for more information.
