im trying to replace the bulbs in my gauge cluster because they are all dead. my question is how do you remove the headlight and window wiper *****? ive been tugging them pretty hard but dont wanna break anything. am i doin it wrong? and my temperature gauge also doesnt work, how do i fix that? also, i need pics of factory door jam wires that go to the door speakers
I can help with the headlight and wiper *****. For the headlight **** you have to reach under the dash, on the top of the switch itself there is a small button. You have to push it in while pulling the ****. The **** will pull out along with the plunger for the switch. You'll need to disconnect your batt. or the headlights will stay on while you are working. The wiper **** is different, just get a small pic and depress the spring inside the **** and pull, you will see a small slot in the **** to insert the pic. BTW when you get to the lights on the gauge cluster, be careful, the back may crumble on you, do some searching on here, it was discussed recently and there are types out there made with better material. Welcome to the group! Good luck. Jeff

got a link to the thread about the crumbling issue? and thanks for the info!
While it is always good practice to disconnect your battery while working on your vehicle, it is not 100% nescessary for the headlight switch. If you gently push the switch back in after removing it, you can shut off the lights without reconnecting the switch.
