fuel guage help!!

I need a wiring diagram that shows me the wiring for the fuel system on my 1977 f150 4x4. Its a dual tank system and my fuel guage isnt working and it looks like the previous owner has messed with the harness. I would realy like to get it working and do it right. can any one help me out??

Same here.....

1987 F150 4.9L

Single tank, replaced sending unit. Have guage out of dash, need wiring diagram of that circuit so I can do some testing.

UPDATE

Found wiring diagram I needed, did the testing and it appears that the fuel guage itself in the instrument panel may be at fault. Does anyone know if this is common for this model year? Does anyone know of a way to test it? Can it be replaced or will I have to put in an aftermarket guage? Suggestions, ideas please?

If the dash fuel gauge is found to be defective: Obsolete, but can be found NOS (New Old Stock), but...

There is more than one type. With/without unleaded fuel, with/without CA emissions, before/from serial number O80,001.

The serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN. Depending on the serial number, the same gauge was also used in Econolines.
