Recently I had the coolant flushed, the oil cooler replaced and an EGR delete installed. Got the truck back and a small puddle of coolant appeared. I traced it to the lower radiator hose/clamp connection point. I tightened the clamp some more and it seemed to solve the problem. I am out of town at the moment but my wife says that now it appears to be leaking coolant on the passenger side of the truck a little farther back than the front tire. What could it be leaking from over there? I will be home tomorrow night and will try to troubleshoot it then. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Passenger side, a little further back than the front tire is where one of the block drain plugs is ... hidden by the starter. Was this removed during the flush?
Also, one of the filter hoses ties into the heater return hose above the valve cover on the passenger side. A leak there could also run down that side. It would leave a trail of white residue as it boils off on the hot engine components.
Got home, checked it out, definitely not A/C condensation. Does not seem to be coming from where the coolant filter ties in either. Any more ideas? I checked the blue piece of hose used to connect the EGR delete and it looks fine.
