Tire size options

My 06 Navigator has 275 65 18 on it right now. I am wondering what my options for 18" tire sizes is. I want to buy a used pair to get me threw the winter.

Stick with the original size tires and make sure that all 4 are the same diameter as a poor match will cause erratic A4WD operation and likely cause problems in the transfercase. Your owners manual should have information regarding this.

But my understanding is that every vehicle had alternative tire sizes. Just wondering what the navigators is?

Usually you can go 1 or even 2 sizes up or down, but they must be the same diameter on all 4 tires to avoid damage to the t/case.

If you do wind up changing the rolling diameter you need to adjust the speedo / odo. Some of the on line tire sites will show you "plus sizing" options for tire and rim packages that will not affect your speedo / odo.
