I have a voltmeter i want to install a but i dont know a good place to hook up the power wire. Any help would be appreciated.

 

How about the cigarette lighter power wire.

 

The lighter is hot all the time, so the meter may run the battery down. Finding a accessory terminal in the fuse box would be one option.

Thanks for the help guys. The only problem is my car doesnt really have a fuse box. It's a 1962 mercury monterey. It has a small one with maybe four fuses but, it's really difficult to access. I was looking for something a little more accesible.

 

Well, radio power goes on and off with the key.
