Ford IDI Workshop manuals

I'm looking for workshop manuals for my '83 thru '93 IDI's. Someone in the Powerstoke forum shared the ones below. I did a search and can't find anything.

1994.5 - 1997 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
97-15A 7.3L DI Turbo Workshop Manual
1996 Bronco/F-Series Workshop Manual

since you have an IDI those would be worthless.

I would look more at these.....

Powertrain - 1993 Ford F250 Super Duty Powertrain Service Manual

Body & Chassis - 1993 Ford F250 Super Duty Body Chassis Service Manual

Engine - 1988 1992 1993 FORD 7.3 DIESEL Engine Service Manual | eBay

IDI Turbo Supplement - 1993 FORD 7.3 TURBO DIESEL TRUCK SERVICE MANUAL SUPPL. | eBay

Those are the ones i found. i have not baught them yet, but i am strongly considering it. excelent price for them as well.

Save some for me.

Thanks '94. Right now my credit cards maxed and the cash flow is still jammed up above the rapids. If you click on the PSD links I posted you will see these are free. Did someone post these long ago after paying for it?

even though you don't have to pay for those, they are useless for IDI owners. the diesel manual is for a PSD. totally different than the IDI. It will be of no use to you. The electrical information will be different as well.

Excellent info for the early PSD guys though.

I'm not articulating well, and it is a problem I have. (my meds?) I know they won't work, one reason for my post, however they are very good for my DI's. I'm just saying, how did these show up on FTE and we are only able to find ones to buy for the IDI's? My particular problem right now is, the '90 has an engine out of a '93 non turbo and the serpentine belt keeps flying off and destroying things. I bought the truck like this and figure starting with a good manual and pics essential. I have a list of shade tree stuff I have discarded/fixed so far. I bought the truck for $ 800. but I have spent a LOT of time and money on it so far.

I understand now.

For yor serpentine belt problem, it might be the tension on the belt it to tight or to loose. the tensioner pully could be weak. you could aslo have pullys that are not lined up.

Check the condition of the idlers. I had to replace both of mine. No idea how many miles on either. Check all accessories for loose or rough bearings.

AutoZone Auto Parts Stores | Motor Oil, Exhaust Systems, Suspension Parts, Car Starters, Car Stereo, Radiator Hoses, Headlights, Car Accessories, and More - AutoZone.com has some very basic vehicle repair info for free. Next step I would recommend is going to your local library and checking out EBSCOhost and their vehicle repair guides. It's reasonably close to alldata and with a library card you should be able to access it from at home.

I have some manuals for the 1985 model year if you want. Engine, tank & lines, 4x4 IFS front ends, filters and I think I might have one for the 4 speed too. But again, they're only for 1985 and they are scans so they aren't searchable. Found them on a website a while back and saved them to my hard drive.

Send me your Email Via Private Message if you want a copy (that goes for anyone else too...).

The best engine manual I know is the 7.3L IDI Turbo Diesel Manual Supplement. there is a link posted above to one listed on Ebay but you can get it new for less than half the ebay asking price from helm:
1993 7.3L Idi Turbo Diesel Service Manual Supplement - Helm Incorporated

That covers the engine and this one is for every thing else:
1993 Light Truck Shop Manual - Helm Incorporated

If you send me an email to KA five RZZ at gmail dot com I will send you a link where you can get the factory service manual on CD ( I don't know why but the forum wont let me post the ink ) They are not free but they do contain the most complete info I am aware of . There is a lot of info on this forum if you take the time to search it out.

Hello,

I know this is an ancient post, but what the heck.

Any chance you still have these manuals? If so, could you send em to me? hughajones@gmail.com

Thanks,

-hj
