Does this mount nut/bolt look right/tight?
I recently had some clutch work done and was just going over the work they did and noticed this transaxle mount nut looks odd to me.
Notice how the nut on the right doesn't look like it's tight compared to the one on the left?
Can someone check their truck and see if it's the same way. It might be normal but is weird because the nut seems like it's not on all the way.
First picture shows where the mount is that I'm talking about. Second one is a closeup of the mount.

I don't have the same engine/trans/or mount. So I tried looking up the mount for a 2001 with the 2.0L four manual trans on couple of parts sites, never found the mount for the manual trans.
So just looking at your pic, it looks like the stud on the right is not high enough to engage all of the threads of the nut, which ain't good. Sure would seem if the mount has two studs, that the amount of engagement would be about the same, if done properly. They just forget to tighten one of them?

Yeah, it's a 2001 2.0L with manual transaxle and that is the rear transaxle mount.
I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't look like the threads are fully engaged. I can't remember what it looked like before so I don't know if that is normal but it doesn't look right. It's not loose though, I wonder if something is misaligned.

Fastners come in containers holding thousands. Even when they come in small boxes, I've seen ones with no threads, deformed, etc. so I wouldn't say it was impossible to have a short one.

Looking at your lower picture, I figured the two studs coming up from below were from the mount itself. Couldn't find a pic for yours, but here is an auto trans mount for the rear of the AOD RWD trans used in the 80's and early 90's, just for illustration purposes:

Two studs come up from the isolator, those bolt to the crossmember, and the body of the mount bolts to the trans case.
In your picture, the stud on the left looks black and new. It also looks like the threads on the stud might not extend all the way to the end of the stud, that is, the stud continues on a bit at the root diameter of the threads.
Now compare that top root diameter of the left stud to what is visible of the right stud. The right stud is larger in diameter. The right stud also has some kind of mark on its end. Is it possible that some of the right stud was broken off somehow on installation, making it shorter?
I would have expected the right stud to have the same diameter at the end as the left stud, but they are different. That makes me wonder if the right is broken.
