Broke stud off a Upper strut mount ?
This is probably a redicioiis question but I broke 1 of the 3 studs off a Upper strut mount while I was using the torque ratchet. Is it possible to take it apart and just replace the broken bolt on it or am I having to go buy another upper strut mount. I heard people have done this just not sure if it’s worth it. I would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks

im not familiar with this particular strut, but how about grinding it down flush and drilling thru the old stud / mount while still installed....... then put a new bolt and nut in the hole ? ....... if you have access to the bottom side.

Hello I appreciate you taking the time and offering me a possible solution to my problem I’m going to give it a try worst case is I’ll have to purchase a new upper strut mount. Lesson learned don’t over torque those small bolts on a strut mount. Thanks again
