turbo issues

Has anyone had any issues with their turbo's losing boost pressure under load. My truck has 16,459km on it and lately everytime I go to pass anyone I'm only getting 15lbs of boost and I can barely pass anyone. I can hear air leaking from either the turbo or the turbo hose but can't identify the issue. I'm not able to get to a dealer as I work shift work and am up in the middle of knowhere. Also noticed hard shifting into reverse and 6 to 5 downshifts are randomly happening.

I've owned nothing but new fords since I was 18, had a 2006 F350, and a 2008 F350, chipped both of them with little issues, so I'm hoping theres nothing wrong with this one as it's still stock

You need to get her in man. Maybe your dealer will give you a car/truck while they look at yours? If you keep driving her, you may just make the problem worse. Any codes or anything coming up? Best of luck.

There is a TSB out there for a pre-turbo exhaust leak. This sounds like a possibility for you. Have you checked all the boots between the turbo and the intake?

Sorry to hear about your turbo/power problem. in my old 06 is had a loose fitting over the turbo that when I was driving up a mountain road the power was just not there. took a look under the hood and saw the semi lose fitting. easy fix, that time just tightened her up. If you can't get to the dealer asap take a close look and see if something is loose could be an easy fix. good luck.

Spent an hour under the hood, checked everything I could without actually taking anything apart, still can't find the issue and all hoses and lines seem tight.

Just how many people do you have to pass 1500km from a dealership in the middle of 'nowhere'?

Worth a try. Hope you get it fixed soon. Let us know the outcome too.
