Ok folks...
Here are the shots from this past weekend's events...
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - Smith's 350 by South Bay Photography
Firestone Indy Lights Series - Las Vegas 100 by South Bay Photography
IZOD IndyCar World Championships by South Bay Photography
As I'm sure you all know, Dan Wheldon died on Sunday due to his injuries sustained in the lap 12 crash that took out 15 cars. It happened literally in front of me. If you look at the LVRJ slide show of pictures, in some of them you can actually see the photo tower that is located on the tunnel between turns 1 & 2. If you look at the picture, I'm the 4th person from the right with a yellow vest on. As I said, it literally happened in front of me. A few other media outlets and pro photographers have complimented me on my crash images. I'm torn because although they are good shots, I know what the ending result was from the crash, so it saddens me.
Anyway, there are the images from the weekend.
Donna - I'll definitely say howdy if I come up that way.
Sorry to hear you guys can't come down, but I'll mention something to the medical crew if I see them. Normally I don't interact with them, but I'll do my best.
PS We're still working on the Renn Faire pics. LOL I'll have to get on my wife's case about getting those done.

I hope you have a terrific Tuesday.
Mine started out watching my husband running around with his head cut off this morning, trying to find the jumper cables to start the BIG truck before work. Maybe if he had put them away after the last time he had used them, he would've known where they were.
Actually, I put them away in the shed after he had left them laying out on the ground. He couldn't find them were he had left them, so I told him where I had put them. Poor guy, I swear, today is not his day! He was forgetting or misplacing everything.

I agree, incredible pics! Nice job! I doubt I could pay anything close to enough to make it worth you coming to work. I'm kinda stuck in that place where I can't afford to pay a high end counter guy with skills, so all I get is entry level people with nearly, or NO desire to work, learn, and grow. I'm all for training, just gotta find someone who's interested. But on a cool note, some awesome flying around Nellis this morning!

Thanks all. The compliments are much appreciated. Every few hours I keep having other pro photographers emailing me telling me how they liked the images. Kinda makes you feel good, ya know? I mean, that's not why I posted them, but it never hurts to hear compliments on your work. I do try really hard to do an awesome job each time I go out to shoot.
Monkey - I definitely hear where you're coming from. Hard to get any "kids" now a days to actually want to work and do a good job.

So, I went to this other board I'm on - Circle of Mom's & it's such a nightmare there. OMG! You can't even comment on a question about kids on Facebook without getting belittled & put down for your opinion. GRR!!!
Guys are so much easier to talk too! Let's talk - wine, woman & song!
No wait, that's not right... it's cars, woman, & shop! 
Hell yah! Let's talk about the fun stuff, not the boring ol' gossip & ***** that most woman talk about.
Come on guys...let's talk shop & get greasy working on cars!
