Hal - Check out your visitor messages (you must have your PM's turned off because I couldn't send one to you). I sent you a link to show you how to fix the compass/temp gauge setup yourself for basically no money.
Dannnng! And I was just excited for it to finally cool off a bit down here. LOL!
It's only 65*F right now and we'll have a high of 70*F today. I'm SOOOOO happy right now! Sick of the 100's! I just wish the rain would stop now so I can go ride, but hey, can't have everything.
I wish the rain would stop as well. I need to finish getting my truck fixed and fix my roof. Both of which require a dry period. But that's how it goes. Get what you need gathered and then it rains. I'll have to wait until Saturday to get anything done. Oh well.

What crappy weather, huh? It's not even officially winter yet & it's already snowing!
This sucks big green donkey d**ks!!! LOL! Time to break out the longjohns & electric blankets.
Atleast I'm at home, so I can curl up in my electric blanket & do online stuff.
Have a great day everyone.
Well...now I'm pi**ed off! I got into my truck and saw that part of the interior window and sunroof was fogged up and the rear seat is wet again!!! I just fixed the rear side windows back at the end of last year because they were both leaking and causing the interior to fog up. I took them both apart, cleaned off the old sticky bead and replaced it with new. Now it's leaking again! I don't think it's the rear window because I didn't see and streaks or water lines down the window.
I can't believe it's been less than a year and these damn things are leaking again. I'm really ticked off now. Only thing I can think of trying first is to take the windows out, take off the inner molding and then re-tightening the nuts down again. Maybe the bead squished more or settled a bit and made them loose? So, I'll try that and then see if it helps.
I know it doesn't rain much here, but when we eventually move to San Diego, it's going to be a real problem!
Any ideas on what else to check? Only other thing I can think of is doing what I did last time and taking the headliner out (pain in the butt!) and the side moldings out and then hosing the top and sides of the truck with water to see where it's leaking in. If it's the side windows again, I'm not sure what else to do. I mean, I put a new bead all the way around last time...what else can I do?
(sigh)
As it has turned out, so far we still have no accumulation of snow. YET. It is still snowing it's just that the earth has been warm enough to melt it off as it lands. There is a fair bit in the trees and the mountains (when you can see them,) are solid white. Can't say how much depth to it.
Messed up my plans for the day. I was going to put new brakes on my wife's car but that didn't happen. Just too rotten out. Tomorrow I have a doctor appt in Reno. So the brakes have to wait. Not too important, I'm changing them because they get hot and vibrate going down the mountain. They still stop the car just fine.
Mat - I know with this economy it's cheaper to fix things yourself, but maybe if you can afford to take it to lic. glass shop for repair/replacement, then they'd have to guarantee they're work if it was to leak again?
