I need your help. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> I have a 2003 F350 6.0L 4x4 dully and my alternator went out. I want to install a 150 amp in place of the 110 amp alternator. Can i buy the 150 amp for the top dual set up and install in place of the 110 amp? Is there anything that needs to be modified or can i just install the 150 in the 110 place or am I stuck with the 110 amp. Your feed back would be greatly appreciated. The plug and mount look the same.<o></o>
Benny one more thing, you bought it direct? And the prices advertised include the wiring upgrade?
yes bought direct on the website I posted
they threw the wire upgrade in for free website had issues that day I was helping them with some email stuff
Imnot shure but if you go with the 250Amp or 270 one the wire upgrade is more involved I think its more than the 1 wire you will have to ask them about it
I couldnt afford the 250 amp at 550.00 bucks and another 100.00 wire upgrade IIRC

Thanks Benny, I am going to do the 190 amp, plenty for what I need.
There are some decent prices on high amp alternators on Ebay.
This is one of those pieces where it's not about the price it's about the quality. You can get alternators at a lot of places but they don't last. The DC is a great quality high amp direct replacement that lasts. They also have a great reputation with the high end stereo crowd.
