Best high amp Alternator???

So I have been searching around the forums and have found 3 high amp alternators that people seem to be using. Wondered which one you guys thought was better? Thanks

1. https://www.dcpowerinc.com/fit/2002~...6-190-oem.html

2. DB Electrical - FORD F SERIES DIESEL TRUCK HIGH OUTPUT 200 AMP ALTERNATOR 02 03 8316

3. 6G Series Heavy Duty Bridge Rectifier High Output 200 Amp Alternator

Thoughts??????

This is the high-output alternator that I think is the best.

215 amps.

It's the one Ford uses, but it's kinda' "spendy".

Ouch 1100 bucks, that does seem like a nice unit though. I was hoping to spend more in the 200-300 range.

Just curious and maybe one of you would know, I have the dual alternator setup. Is it two stock alternators putting out twice the power or two de tuned alternators?

I'm all for OEM and you get what you pay for, however if you went to your local Orielly's and requested an E350 alternator for an ambulance you can get a 210AMP remanned unit for around $250.

David, depending on how your alternators are wired, yes you would effectively double the Amperage capacity of your 12V system.

I believe OEM dual alt setups are 2 110 Amp units, running 2 separate circuits though.

And that right there is one of the best options! I had my starter rebuilt before I moved out of Washington, 4-5 years ago, and she is still working like a charm! Plus, you keep the money local!

I noticed that mine was already rebuilt when I bought the truck and it is going out again already. I don't know a good re-builder in the Puget sound sound area. I just don't want it going out like it already is. Anyone know a good re-builder in the Puget sound?

Contact "Kwikkordead". He's in North Seattle, I believe. He owns a repair shop, and most-likely has a rebuilder he works with locally.
