Hand Grip ?

Has anyone ever installed a hand grip on the passeger side A pillar ? I have a 97 4WD F250. A couple of my friends have a difficult time getting in my truck. My truck is stock height, no big wheels, tires, or a lift kit. So if anyone has installed a hand grip, like the ones on late model trucks, I would appreciate anyone helping me out....thanks

I haven't actually did it...But have looked into it...

1) The A-Pillar is actually made weird, and has a weird angle, so a piece of metal will need ti be welded in, to make the angle correct for mounting the handle on...

2) The A-Pillar trim, will need 2 holds cut, to allow the ends of the handle to pass through to the metal area previously welded in for structure, etc...

3) After aligning, cutting the holes (A hole saw attachment would be perfect at this point) and mounting the handle, etc....I'd recommend a couple rubber grommets to fill in the gaps and prevent the handle from putting pressure on the trim panel....

Otherwise....Have at it....

I don't, but i have seen them installed. If it where me in your place, i would search for a side step, it will be easier to install and they are a great help getting in. The grip would probably require some internal gusseting to ensure the body panel doesn't bend because on the passenger's weight.

Hmmm i thought that was what he meant (behind the passeger's door, missed the A-pillar), but anyway, the A-pillar isn't the best spot neither...
