EGR Cooler

Long story short we are getting a newer motor for the Ex and since the dealership is putting in the newer motor tomorrow I'm down to the end of this. The EGR cooler that is on the old motor is pluged at the end where the down pipe hooks into it. My question is, does this mean it has been by-passed? The reason i am asking is if it has the EGR Cooler delete would i be better off using the pluged cooler or using a new one from ford?

sounds like it was deleted.

as far as deleting it again, i'll leave that call to you. some people have had mixed reviews about the affects of it.

Buy a complete EGR delete kit with the up pipe.They're not expensive. It's the best way to go. Your replacing the engine anyway so it will be easy to install with the engine out.
