Back in the day there was a door extender that people got to clear wide tires.. A buddy (Ford Van) had to get one when he changed to wider tires.. Best I remember it just extended the link on the rear of the slider.. I wonder if they are still available..

werd, way easier than what i suggested. should be able to clear a 12.50 on a 8-10 wide with the right back spacing.
Kris, nope, bad idea. Better off havin 4 wheeler on a trailer....
I'll just have to wait and see how the tires clear once I get them. Right now it has good tires on it, if the wheels fit over the hubs of the D60/10.25 I'll run them tell they r bold.
New plugs n wires now it runs smooth. Should run like a champ after I get the timming and carb set
Got a bit done on the inside.... New insulation in the back doors, and some expanda foam insulation in spots that look like mice could get in.... Tomorrow I hope to get the new insultion in the roof and headlinner back in. Maybe even some new carpet and the rest of the interior....
I could see it now.... Him catch his head on the little lip were it comes down for the door and yank him off the 4wheeler leave him laying in hte floor and the 4wheeler keep going...... funny for us (if he has video of it ) not so good for him... lol
But, looks like the back two tires are about shot now. I tried to drag "old blue" up to the garage with a flat tire. Who knew you could get tires to squeel and smoke in the dirt.
Now the van smells like burnt rubber instead of mouse ****.
Well I got a lot of work done on the Van this weekend. Got the interior put back in with new insulation.
Got that dam thing timed.....
Hardedst thing to time ever.. The distributor was stuck. I managed to break it loose without breaking the dam thing but took a wile. It was timed at 5* no wonder it didn't seem to run right. It runs good now. Got a better steering wheel instslled and a Tach.
But it revs knda high on the hwy, well not higher than my 94 when I run it in 4th. Lol. 70 mph is about 3150 rpms. But that will drop when I put taller tires on(stock are 8.75R16.5)
