dave, is the side door on that a slider or two normal swing out doors? looks like a slider. if it's a slider you'll have to go with more lift or run some super narrow tires as it doesn't take much before you run into door/tire clearance issues.
Dam Dan, ur right! There isn't much room there.....
sooner or later dave, everyone realizes i'm right
my solution, and one i'm pretty sure you are capable of doing, is some light sheetmetal work. cut and notch the bottom corner of the door and weld it in solid to the van's shell so the door has a relief cut out for tire clearance. does that make sense typed out or no?
One on the motor, 3 separate ones in the headlinner, one under each tail light, one in the secondary heater, one under the drivers floor mat, and I'm sure I'll find another in the primary heater once I open that up...
Dave, those are the same tires I have on my Mountaineer. Unmounted, they measured out at 33.5" and 10.5" wide I run them at 60 PSI. They are load range E, and I have over 10K on them with no noticeable signs of wear.
And with a new fuel pump(major pita) and a new carb it runs alright. Doing plugs wires n all that garbage tonight, than I'll tune it. After that, reinstall the interior
Back in the day there was a door extender that people got to clear wide tires.. A buddy (Ford Van) had to get one when he changed to wider tires.. Best I remember it just extended the link on the rear of the slider.. I wonder if they are still available..
