I had three 79 F-150 S.C in my construction company. One had a 351m , one a 400 , one had a 460. All two wheel drive, All had the same c/6 . All gone now accept for the 460 engine and two of the c/6 transmissions.My 79 bronco had a c/6 too , that one i assumed was different other than bolt pattern. JIM
An early model 460 (something like 67-72) uses a shorter fatter snout on the torque converter (the part that centers on the crank pilot). The later ones use the same torque converter.
