Tranny swapping??
I have 1979 Ford with a 400 C6, the tranny is weak, a friend has C6 off of his race car with a 390....will this bolt up? Or what engine combo do I have look for to find a matching bolt pattern?

Nope, you'll need a C6 from a 351m, 400, 429, 460. Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

Tranny swapping??
you can have the guts of the other transmission transfered into your case by a transmission shop for around $150-200.
