Trans problem no reverse only first
2003, f-450, 80k,dump bed & pulls trailer (bobcat, mowers)
Overdrive light came on and truck does not move in reverse only in first gear. No problems with transmission before this, any suggestions?

Obviously this is the best option, especially given Mark's previous experience. But just out of curiosity, is the TCIL (overdrive light) blinking or solid? I was always curious if it actually does blink when there's a fault.

Yes there are. They are not cheap, so a cut rate shop or an auto parts store won't have a tool that can read them.

Will something like Auto Enginuity work? I have a laptop to run it on. The current software I have is not very helpful OBDLINK, was a waste of money. Would like to use it on trucks like f-650, F-750 and other trucks that size also. Snap-on priced me one for like $3500.00 and I believe he said it would do the f-750 and topkicks also.
