Distributer gear

Is it a press fit on shaft? Is so any hints on getting it off if I don't have a press?
TIA
David

IIRC it's held by a roll pin.

Yeah I got the pin out and it isn't moving, and I really don't want to start hammering it yet

It's a pain to get it off, but it just takes force. Try prying it up evenly with two flat bladed screwdrivers. Just be careful not to press on parts of the distributor that bend.

If you do, you'll need to bend it all back in place. It's not hard.
I bent the plate once and didn't realize it and my timing would "stick" once it advanced. Easy fix, but it left me scratching my head.
Just be sure everything moves smoothly and the stator doesn't hit the magnet as it spins when you get it all back together and it's good to go.

In advance, getting the stator back on is MUCH easier. Just put a long socket on it and tap it down with a hammer.
