6.4 banjos are nice, the updated reg kit would be better if you had to choose.
I drilled out my banjos out.

so I got everything in the mail a week ago and its killin me just looking at it. I cant get the lift for another month or so. Would it hurt anything to run the turbo by itself? besides the lag?

I tried looking back, but couldn't find anything about the turbo.

It would depend on the size of the turbo, but lag could really be a bear for you, but you might also have to be clearing overboost codes if you are having to much fun with it. It'll throw a wrench and you'll be making horrible power until it's cleared.

Personally, I would wait until everything is ready to go.

Oh if you are talking about the direct replacement powermax turbo then you should be alright, at least based on what I've read about it on here from those that have it.

Bolt it on and run it. Won't hurt a thing.

I've been in a stock 6.0 with a PowerMax and the lag was pretty bad. Below is some video but might not be the best to go by.

It just takes a little "two footed" driving to make the lag go away some.

Did that on the launch in the video's. I think it only got to 10psi. In stock form I was impressed with Matt's 6.0 and I'm sure with the proper tune the PowerMax would be great but stock and with the PowerMax it was a dog down low.

Gearing or using a tighter housing might help. Of course, a tune that over fuels would help a lot. Combined with the first two and it should be something.

Yep I think with a tune the PowerMax with it's higher flow rate would be great but in stock tune the fuel is just not there to do the job at low RPMs.

Yea part of the PM tuning is a more aggressive fueling to spool it faster.

Well it took me 2.5 hours to swap them out. Had to fight the exhaust clamps for awhile. Its doesnt lag much. I can deal with it for the next couple weeks until I get the head studs installed and run the SCT. It sounds real nice when you get going. It doesnt sound any different at idle tho. Could be the muffler.
