I want to know what shop charged him $830 for a new ignition and it still doesn't run - sounds a little fishy to me
LOL! That's a good point! If it's still for sale Sunday I might ride out there and take a look at it. I can't tell from the picture, does it look to be a short bed???
Yea, it doesn't run but they had it in the shop to repair it. They either had it towed to the shop and back at about $200 or they pushed it there and back. What shop have you guys ever used that would replace an ignition system and the vehicle wouldn't start so they could test everything out? Either they spent money on it and it wasn't the ignition, or there is something major wrong with it and they want to dump it on someone. Very fishy story indeed.
It may be just an illusion but the front tires look to have a lot of positive camber, maybe they put some kind of spacers in the springs to fit those big a$$ tires on there (still looks like it wouldn't take much to rub the body).
I was wondering about the $830 ignition too, I'd offer him $600 for it.
Judging by the bed between the cab and back wheel I'd agree it's a long bed.
Maybe find out what carb he's got on it and take a few tools and a spare carb with you when you go check it out - especially if you're considering buying it.

Lol, the $830 ignition change does sound fishy to me as well.. I'd definitely ask for a bill or explain what it had changed at the least.
And yeah, those tires look silly on that truck. They're sticking out like 80's roller skates... looks sort of stupid. Decent price for the truck though.

Very good idea. I'd take an extra carb along, or just some GUNK and offer something like $550, since it isn't running. Once you buy it, sit there and fix the carb right in front of them. They'll watch you drive away with $250 in your pocket! hahaha!
The body parts are worth 650. If you can buy a truck like that it is worth at least 1000 bucks in parts. The core charge for a C6 and everything else makes it worth it. Buy it if you can get it for 700 or 800 bucks. I'm buying them to save them from the crusher. I have four dent sides and will save as many as I can! The ones in the south are in good shape and need to be saved.
