EBP = exhaust back pressure sensor. It's mounted on the driverside exhaust manifold and is connected to the manifold by a short steel tube. I've never heard it refered to as EGR Pressure feedback sensor.
After a little more research that's more of a gas burner thing. What's up?
If someone told you that you need both, odds are you don't. If the Ebp is bad or plugged the injector test can look bad and cause a miss or stumble.
Yeah ..... The EBP and MAP sensors are the only sensors that I haven't replaced duing my stumble ordeal. I did clean the tube and also cleaned the EBP sensor.
I have read that if the EBP sensor has failed that it will cause the EGR valve to not function properly and throw the common EGR code ( I can't remember which code).
My quetion though:
I was looking for the EBP sensor on Rock-Auto and seen a listing under (Emissions) for a 2006 6.0 Diesel.
and was wondering if ........... (EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor)
was the same as ......... EBP (Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor) because they sure look the same
