Ford 302 stalling issue?
Hey guys, I'm having an issue that's getting worse. Hoping I could get some advice. I have a 1983 F100, 135k with automatic and 302 V8. It has always stalled/died when I give it just a little gas at a stop light (or anytime I'm driving). I have to pull off the line with a little oomp. While moving, it I just give it a little gas it will jerk and make a loud clunk clunk clunk from what sounds like the drive shaft area. I have always had to warm the engine up before going anywhere to prevent stalling. If anybody can shed some light on this I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

With the truck off, take the aircleaner off, and with a flashlight look down the throat of the carb while you push back on the throttle. You should see two strong streams of gas pour into the engine. If not, then your accelerator pump is shot and the carb needs a rebuild.
