Need Help identifying coil part

Hello everyone. I am new to this site, but I have run accross a part that I am unable to identify with any of my service manuals, or other references. I have an '86 F250 Super Camper with a 460 and 4bbl carb. Mounted on my ignition coil bracket, there is a small, silver, cylinder approximately 1" long that has a wire going to the socket on my coil. The wire is starting to come out and is almost broken off. Does anyone have any ideas. I am trying to find out what it is so I can replace it. Thanks...

It is a noise suppressor. Helps keep ignition noise out of the radio.

If it does break off before you replace it, make sure you tape the end of it as it will be a short if it touches anything. Your truck will still run okay but you don't want to short anything out.
