quick connect fuel fitting repair?

quick connect fuel fitting repair?
I'm sure this info is somewhere on the forum, but I can't find it using the search...
I'm changing my fuel filter and those stupid quick connect fittings are screwed up. The front fitting just fell off without using any force or tools. Just slid right off the filter. Looked inside it and the clips are all jacked up inside.
The back fitting won't come off at all. I'm going to have to cut the filter line so I can get a little screwdriver in there to pry the clips back or something. So, needless to say I'm going to have to fix these fittings before I put a new filter in it or I'll be fighting this again in the future. Can we get new clips or anything to put in these fittings or am I stuck with getting new lines? I think I have a spare front line, but I don't think I have a spare back line...
I've got that back fitting soaking with PB Blaster right now and will try to get it off again when I get home. I'm starting to consider building my own fuel system b/c of this. LOL
