cab swap differences

cab swap differences

the 92 up cab firewall is different. Will the older steering column and all bolt into it? the older ones look like it has a plate spot welded on and the wire harness holes are different as well as e-brake.

92 up cab also has rear speaker mounts for regular cabs. You can cut the pedal section out of the 92+ cab and replace it with the 91- cab.

Ok good. that gives me more options. I guess the older cabs have a stronger firewall area because my 1998 f800 cab has the plate like the older cabs have. It has a cable pulled clutch with a fuller eaton manual transmission.

are you talking about cabs on medium sized trucks or F350 and smaller ?

Both i want to put a ext cab or crew cab on a 1998 f800. but i just realized the cabs look the same but are different or modified. as well as having that plate like the 92 down it has a whole different dog house. I have to investigate more.

the steering columns go threw the cabs in different spots on the 2 , i was going to do the same with my old 86 f250 extenda cab on my older 1970 f600 ! it will be a project for when times get better or more money to play with !
