ok so while trying to figure out why my truck sounds like it misses when around 1200 rpms I pulled the valve cover thinking it could be my uvch. to my suprise it already has the ford tabs under the connector and was seated snugly. So I rechecked my ohms on the outside of the harness and i'm getting 4.3, 11.5, 5.5, and 7.6 ohms on the injectors. does that indicate bad injectors? I dont have access to any software to do buzz tests and dont exactly have the cash to have a shop tell me something i can check with a multimeter.
While you have the valve covers off, start it and check the discharge of oil coming out of each injector too, it will help point you to possible worn injectors.
I had the cover off today to check the harness because I thought it was the issue.. I ran it with it off and the oil coming out seemed pretty uniform between those 4 injectors.
When you are measuring resistance you are checking the solenoids for the injectors, variances in resistance can be due to a lot of factors, possible winding partially grounding out, wire's touching various things in the harness, corrosion or carbon built up on pins.
