No code data from outlet

No code data from outlet
I was having some stalling issues with my Ex (03' V-10), I tried to pull the code to see what the problem was and the readers that I tried said "No Connection". Apparently I'm not getting any data at all thru the port. Any ideas?

Does your cigarette lighter work?
I ask cuz they are on the same 12v power and the reader will need that power.
You should be able to read generic codes, but I don't think you will have any luck with em. If it is the IAC valve it will not throw a code and you will need an advanced reader to be able to watch each cylinder for any miss fires, as even that generally won't throw codes.
For the time it takes I would just pull the IAC and clean it. It sounds like that could be your issue. Have a few old tooth brushes and some throttle body cleaner and about an hour an have at er.
I did mine this summer while on holidays in about 45 min. I took off the air intake, unhook cruise cable and throttle cable, moved a few other things out of the way and just removed the whole throttle body assembly. 4 screws only
and the IAC is on the back of it, another 2 screws and electric plug and I was cleaning it. You can also clean your throttle body will you have it out and just unplug the batt for a bit to have the computer reset the air/fuel driving strategies after your done putting it back together.

I've had a few vehicles come through the shop where the code reader would not communicate correctly or at all. I was able to do it with the SnapOn Modis scan tool though. If the things wallz mentions don't work then maybe a different code reader or stopping at a shop who can just do a quick diags for you is the next step. Good luck.
