Does it stall when idling? Mine got really rough and I cleaned it and hasn't caused a problem in 30,000 miles. Some don't get that lucky!
You can check the IAC solenoid resistance. I believe it is supposed to be about 10 ohms. You can also disconnect the IAC valve while the engine is running, iff there is no change in rpms, you have a stuck or damaged valve. You can try cleaning it along with the throttle body and see if that helps.

My wife said it wanted to stall but it didn't, then getting on the freeway or taking off from a light, it had no power and didn't want to take off like it normally would.
I removed the IAC and cleaned it with throttle body cleaner. It had alot of carbon build up, and the flakes and carbon pieces were coming out as I was spraying/soaking it. I also cleaned the throttle body then changed the oil and filter. Disconnected the negative cable to reset the computer, took it for a drive and couldn't get it to act up. The wifey said it worked fine yesterday too, so I hope my issues are over.
