Steering control box
My 2009 F250 4wd has been diagnosed with a failed steering control box. The truck just turned over 15000 miles. The steering started becoming erratic a month or so ago. It is in the shop now and the part is on back order with no ETA. I was wondering if anyone else had any steering issues?

29K on mine. No issues here, but mine decided to spring a one-time leak down my driveway as I backed out one day. It hasn't leaked since. After I took it in, the dealer said there's a failed gasket/o-ring on the intermediate shaft (or whatever). They wanted to replace the whole steering box, but Ford corporate warranty folks told them to rebuild it instead.
I guess it cheaper for Ford to do that. [That got me thinking--if it wasn't under warranty, I'd paying for a new steering box on my dime]
Anyways, parts were being ordered. I'm supposed to take her back in when they call to let me know when they have the parts. It's been 2wks. I might have missed the call or something, so I'll need to check
