Cargo carriers for Excursion

Anyone have a cargo carrier that they would recommend to mount in the 2" receiver? I've been looking at the Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier on E-Trailer.com. Just want to get something solid and no flimsy & cheap. Plus I would like to still be able to open the rear barn doors when the rack is installed.

I've had a Hitch Haul since they came out 15yrs ago. It is still as strong as it was then. I love it.

I have a similar one by Surco of the same size with the fold up hinge. Works great. When it's down, you can still open the barn doors. I added tail/signal lights to it using the 4-pin flat connection. I got mine from etrailer. I fabricated a bit longer center shaft because of my mini van's receiver was recessed in under the bumper and wouldn't fold up. On the Ex, it's fine.

Edit: If your cargo is high enough, it could obstruct the barn doors. Empty, the barn doors clears it.

Wow, thank you everyone for all the quick replies. Looks like I have some good info to get me started. I need to order something in the next couple of days. Pheasant hunting season starts on Sep 30th and I'll like to keep the smelly stuff out on the rack.....

Thanks!

I have one from Northern Tools it has slightly taller sides than most. I think I paid $139 for it about 5-6 years ago.

Apparently mine isn't sold any more, it's similar to this one but mine
doesn't fold. Mine also has red reflectors mounted on it.
