Another fuel problem-help

95 f250 5.8 4x4Started missing really bad then quit, after start and stop got her home, sounded like it was running on 4 cyclinders This has happened twice.Checked fuel pressure, engine off key on, 10 lbs, can't get it to start.FPR or Pump or both, how can I diagnosis.Few days ago thought the FPR would not hold a vacuum but turned out the vacuum pump hose was leaking so the FPR was holding a vacuum.God BlessJohn
,,Just got it started, ran smooth, FP 30 lbs and WOT drops back to 20 lbs.

Do you have dual tanks? If so, is the pressure the same on both? If it is then I would suspect the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

If you have a single tank then all I can say is a FPR is cheaper and faster to replace than a fuel pump. If the pressure is still low then it's time to replace the pump.

Before replacing anything else I will ask the simple question: Have you replaced the fuel filter?

Have you plugged both of the fuel lines that were hooked to the hanging FDM on the frame without a tank?
Are you still dumping fuel on the ground?

If you have both lines from the other tank plugged then your pump is dying, simple as that.

Yep they are pluged as Conanski told me and I may as well accept it, my pump is dying. Do you have to replace the whole unit or just the module.Like everyone else, trying to get the least expensive way. What brand pump do u suggest which is faiirly priced and reliable.ThanksJohn
