my passenger window has been getting bad lately. idk if i need a new motor or just the gear. sometimes is gets half way up and slows down or stops. new motor?
if you here the motor turning, but the window is not moving much, the plastic bushing in the motor need replacing. There are several write ups if you do some searching on how to complete this fix on this forum. The 3 bushings can be found in the Help! Section of any chain auto store. The fix can also be made with 3 5/16 outside diameter nuts.
And per say the drivers side window on my 1990 wont roll down and the motor doesn't sound, that's just a new motor that I need probably right? Because my passenger side works fine.

Yes, if you know the motor is getting power, and it doesn't work then its the motor.
And if the window motor has never been replaced, get ready for a headache. Ford riveted the gear arm to the door, and it has to come out to replace the motor.

You only to drill out the rivets if you are removing the window regulator. When I replaced the motor on my truck, all that was required was to drill a large enough hole on the inner door skin to fit the socket through it to remove one of the bolts. I'll stand corrected if I am wrong though.

I know on my 89, there are 3 bolts holding the motor to the regulator. I took a air dremel tool and ground the rivets off. Then tool 1/4*1/2 bolts and bolted the regulator back to the door.
find the motor and then look on the inside sheet metal you will see a mark for the motor bolts drill them out and motor is free but make sure you wegde the window up or it will fall on your hand
