Question Fuse block question

I have a 2006 F250 SD, 6.0 PS with 35,000 miles. I had a gauge pod wire installed to a fuse inside the truck via a fuse tap. I wanted to change the wire to run to the fuse box under the hood where I have more room for a circuit fuse tap (with the extra fuse). However, the mini-fuse inside the truck won't stay put, I am assuming that the tap spread the connection too far apart and there is not enough tension to hold the fuse. What type of connection is in there that I can replace it so that it works correctly? I currently have a small piece of the old tap wedged in there, but I don't particularly care for that arrangement. I would rather it work like it is supposed to. Any help is appreciated and thanks. Love this forum!

Unfortunately, that is a problem with fuse taps. Unless you can get a small screwdriver in there to bend the tab back in place, leaving the fuse tap in place is probably your only option. You also may be able to take pliers and put a little twist in the fuse leg to make it wider and tight in the hole.
