Aux power connector replacement

Does anyone know how to replace the aux power connector in the dash on a 2002 F150? The first day I got my truck I made the mistake of using this to power my 2 meter ham rig. All was fine until I did some rag chewing. I melted the plug I was using and the connector in the dash. I replaced the fuse, which immediately blew. The next day I connected the radio directly to the battery. Now that the outdoor temperature is below the melting point of lead, I got the connector. I am stuck removing the old connector. I did learn how to remove the stereo, but I can't get the back connector off.

I have got the complete dvd manual on your truck, and I can navigate pretty well through the wiring diagrams, but I have never got the hang of finding what I need in the service manual part. I wish someone would show me how to do it.

The only thing I found so far is to remove the large panel around the radio, you turn the vent outlet louvers to one side, stick your hands in beside the turned vents and pull outward to pull that complete panel off.
