Weird electrical short
Finally figured out whats causing my truck to hate me. Long story short, fuse #8 is wobbly in its holder, causing intermittent problems with the related components. I can tap the fuse lightly and it wobbles enough to break the connection.
Its not the fuse, is there anyway to fix this?

I recommend fuse taps to people who want to add electrical circuits to their fuse box. But they do have one drawback; they spread the contacts in the fuse socket a little bit. I don't know if this caused your problem, but you could go to the store and buy some fuse taps, install them on the fuse, and they would probably take up the slack and make the fuse tight.

Your problem is not with a short, but with a 'long'. You want it to short, to the fuse! Loose fuses are many times caused by overheating/too much load. Pull the fuse, put an ammeter across the fuse holder that can handle the current that the fuse is rated at, and see if you are pushing the limit. If amp draw is OK, then you should just be able to bend the fuse holder contact so that it fits tight again.
