Question Motorcraft Batteries

Is there anyway to tell how old the batteries are in my truck? I know I replaced them sometime, but not sure when. I looked for some kind of stamp or engraving with the date but there is nothing there and I somehow lost the original receipt when I bought them. I do remember it was damn cold outside when I did replace them!!

So...are they going bad? If not then I would not worry about the age of them. don't know of anyway other than to take them out and see if there is a stamp on them somewhere.

There is something stamped into the top edge on the side of the batteries. It didnt look like anything so I never looked at it that hard.
I havnt driven it much over the past year and half due to work injury but my daughter and others have drove it. I went out this eek to go to physical therapy and the batteries were dead. I disconnected them and charged them up and checked them (separately), the showed weak. Tonight I went out and the truck was dead again. hooked up charger and seen that someone had turned on my backup cam and left it on.........explains dead batteries

If they are more than 3.5-4yrs old they're probably gone. I've gotten lucky and had a few batteries go ~5 years but that's been the exception rather than the rule. A lot depends on how you drive and whether the batteries have a chance to get a full charge. Longest running battery I know of was 7yrs on a OEM Motorcraft in a family member's explorer.

I think I got them in 2009....WINTER......I just got back into town and it was parked in the yard at work (plugged in) and the Batteries were dead. I remember the day well!! It was a witer snowstorm and I could not get it to fire up by jumping it off the Peterbuilt, so i pulled them and ran to the local fleet farm (found out that the batteries they sell dont fit into the trays) returned the fleet farm batteries and went to the dealer close to work for OEM.
